Greensand Country Geotrails

Thanks to three new Geotrails (Eastern, Central and Western) developed by Bedfordshire Geology Group, you can now discover more about the rocks and landforms in Greensand Country.

Each Geotrail explores the landscape, geology and land uses surrounding the Greensand Country area and include a number of short walking routes.

Highlights include examples of cross-bedding, exposed rock formations, sandstone churches, coping stones of very iron-rich local sandstone & distinctive private dwellings.
